Today I want you to take a creative stab at writing/re-writing the end of The Great Gatsby. Based upon what you've read so far, how would you end the novel? Please be sure your ideas are consistent with the book up to now; in other words, your ending has to be believable.

BEWARE: depending on what you've read, you might need to provide a spoiler alert at the beginning of your post--don't ruin the end of Chapter 8 for those that haven't read.

I would end the novel with Daisy and Tom getting a divorce and Daisy wedding to Gatsby. Tom lost Myrtle so he is upset and doesn’t want to be with Daisy anymore because he sees the love that Daisy has for Gatsby. His soft spot begins to show which leads to him letting go of Daisy and her marrying Gatsby.
